LONDON HOUSE FOR OVERSEAS GRADUATES, FELLOWSHIP HOUSE and WILLIAM GOODENOUGH HOUSE
All these halls are in Bloomsbury and are run by the same charity (The Goodenough Trust), which offers accommodation to academics, particularly graduate students (perhaps a 'laureando' might be included in this category, if you say you're doing your 'M.A. thesis'). For current rates, go to the Trust's web-page; they are more than student hostels but less than the small hotels in the same area. Near both British Museum and Senate House Library. They organize social activities (have their own box in the Royal Albert Hall), and have a refectory. Reserve well in advance; if no vacancies, leave your name on the waiting list.
FOR STAYS UP TO THREE MONTHS: Accommodations Officer, London Goodenough Trust, Fellowship House, Mecklenburgh Square, London WC1N 2AB;
