Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering received from the University of Florence in 2003. He took his PhD in Machine Design in 2007 at the University of Florence discussing the thesis "TRIZ Patterns of Evolution as a means for supporting history of technology S. Maria del Fiore yard”.
Researcher at University of Bergamo at the Industrial Engineering Department since 2008. His academic activity involves the following topics: methods and CAI tools for technical creativity development, methods and TRIZ tools for the resolution of inventive technical problems and systematic innovation, ECO- design, intellectual property management, knowledge management techniques for information retrieval supporting Problem solving activities and Technological Forecasting.
He is currently coordinating several research activities with Italian companies, and national projects. He teaches courses on systematic innovation (mainly TRIZ) and knowledge management. He is author and co-author of more than 40 scientific publications in international journals and conference proceedings. He holds 1 patent and he was co-inventor for 5 patents.
